Family Celebrations

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to celebrate several family events down at my parent's house in NJ. The first thing I had to do was to get fitted for my Tux for my brother's wedding. Jenn and I went over to Christiana Mall, and then were fortunate enough to check out Stewart's Brewing. The place was really crowded with Phillies fans, as we watched the Phillies finally take first place in the NL East after 160 games (they lost the lead the next night, and then won the pennant on Sunday).

The next day my niece and nephew arrived, and I made a gift of bottle caps for their collection. I've got to be the greatest uncle in the world with the different beers, and the associated beer caps. Jessica and Sarah decided that the caps didn't smell so good and decided that they needed to be washed. We then made the preparations to celebrate my Nana's 90th birthday party. It was really nice with tons of food, lots of family, and lots of kids. I was amazed at all the great-grandkids, and how much they enjoyed participating in the celebration.

Finally, we celebrated the engagement (and impending wedding) of Dave and Christine. My mom wanted a chance for the family in New Jersey to share their joy with them. It was really nice with more food (different food for the most part, having saved the guacamole dip for this day). Christine's parent came down too.

It was a nice day weekend that everyone seemed to enjoy. We missed my sister Dana who's expecting in November, but got to congratulate my cousin's wife Angie who's expecting in December. All-in-all it was a wonderful weekend with family and friends. -4332
