Sharing a Man Cave

Another 9/80 Friday, another lunch date with my lovely wife.  This time we headed north to Glens Falls, to Cooper’s Cave.  Friends had recommended us to try it since they recently expanded for food service, and since they brew their own beer (and soda), we gave it a shot.

The pub is quaint, and they have a little deck out back with tarps and heaters to extend the season.  I got a sampler (what else), but was a bit surprised to find that each of the beers looked the same.  Their Pumpkin Ale and Oktoberfest, looked like their Kolsch and Hefe-weizen.  The beers weren’t bad, but I did have to order another pint to find one to rave about.  Their IPA was excellent, so I have a go to beer for when we return.  And we will return, since their black and blue burger was awesome, and their nachos were good too (although next time please hold the bell peppers).

Again, it was good to get away for a date without the kids.  Tomorrow we’ll take them to the movies (did I hear anyone say Puss in Boots?), so they’re all set. – 5845/11559
